My name is Alex (they/she), and I am the sole proprietor of Layers of Love of Boone, NC. I specialize in making funky, intricately decorated, colorful, and delicious cake desserts for every occasion. I strive to fill every dessert I make with love to be spread to all of those who enjoy my products.

Creating delicious and beautiful food is my passion. Sharing it with my community is my love language. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a customer’s excitement when they get their very own piece of edible art to enjoy.

I’ve been baking and decorating cakes professionally since 2016, but starting Layers of Love opened up a whole new world of connection with the community that I’ve never experienced as just a baker in the kitchen. Connecting with the high country community and bringing people together over delicious foods and art makes my heart overflow with joy.
